Staycation during this pandemic is still the wisest option for many, rather than going where there are large groups. Outdoors works well with the weather of our Florida winter still being on the cool side. Walking, biking, eating outside.
Lake Mary has many fine offerings, try some of them. The Lake Mary Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 9 to 1:30 in Central Park. Masks are suggested and social distancing can be done.
If you like cars, try the Lake Mary Cruise In on the third Sunday of the month from 10 to 1 in Central Park. This makes a nice walk from church after worship. Most cars are American, some old, some not.
Wine Art Wednesdays on the first Wednesday of the month will return March 2021, which is March 3. See you there in Central Park.
If you would rather be indoors, try our local Lake Mary Museum. From March 25 until April 17, the Museum will be hosting an exhibit of “Nature in Sculpture”. Social distancing and face coverings will be required of all guests. Museum hours are Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays from 10 to 3; Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 5. Pop in, you will enjoy. Admission is free but donations are appreciated.
Just an FYI, the Lake Mary City Commission meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
